Local businesses are the lifeblood of a community and during this COVID-19 crisis they are particularly struggling with no passing trade and little online visibility.
On this website, anyone can share their favourite restaurant or shop that is open and we can all continue to try to support local businesses instead of doing all of our shopping through big supermarkets, chain restaurants and multinational companies.

Hi, we’re Adrienne and Natalia.
We are passionate about Barcelona, tech, supporting local businesses and staying at home through the quarantine.
When we heard about the Hackovid hackathon we wanted to use this opportunity to create a tool that we’ve been looking for to help residents find and support local businesses and to help businesses find customers.

Hackovid is the initiative by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the i2CAT Foundation and Digital Future Society as a virtual, open and participatory event that has been created to respond to the social needs related to the confinement situation that we are experiencing , as well as those needs that will arise later as activity normalises.
